Project Background and Challenges

The client is the game team, hoping to turn in-game assets into NFTs and introduce the token economy, but cannot sacrifice the game's operational smoothness.

The challenge lies in the structural trade-offs:If all high-frequency in-game operations are on-chain, latency and gas costs are unacceptable. We designed a hybrid architecture of off-chain high-frequency operations + on-chain asset ownership confirmation, as well as a dual-token economic model, making player assets truly ownable and tradable, while providing a gameplay experience close to traditional games.

The scope we undertake

In-game assets are NFT-ized, with dual token economic systems, on-chain confirmation contracts, off-chain game service integration, and asset markets.

Key technical decisions

Architecture: Fully on-chainvsOn-chain and off-chain mixed
Choose a hybrid architecture. High-frequency game operations are guaranteed off-chain to ensure smoothness, with only asset confirmation and trading on-chain, avoiding "sacrificing playability for decentralization."
Decision 02
Economic models
Designing a dual-token model to separate in-game consumption from value reserves, reducing the risk of collapse in single-token economies.
Decision 03
Timing for asset ownership confirmation
Clarify which operations must be on-chain and which can be batch on-chain after off-chain settlement, reducing gas costs while ensuring trust in asset ownership.
