Project Background and Challenges

The client is an exchange platform that requires a dedicated fund wallet system to manage user assets. It requires a three-layer structure of hot, cold, and warm: hot wallets for daily deposits and withdrawals, warm wallets for buffering, and cold wallets for large reserves.

The challenge lies in automated fund flow between the three layers—when the hot wallet balance is insufficient, it automatically replenishes from the warm wallet; the warm wallet collects it to the cold wallet, which must go through the signing and approval process. The entire chain's amount thresholds, approval rules, and exception handling must be clear and controllable.

Key technical decisions

Decision 01
Three-layer ratio
Based on transaction volume and peak withdrawal amounts, the three-tier capital ratio is set; hot wallets only meet the N-times daily average withdrawal requirement.
Decision 02
Automatic collection strategy
Automatic replenishment of hot → and temperature without manual intervention; large amounts of heating → cooling are consolidated and approved by multiple parties, with configurable rules.
Decision 03
Abnormal circuit breaking
Abnormal balance fluctuations, approval anomalies, or address changes trigger immediate circuit breaker + alarm, eliminating the need for manual inspection.
